Richard Harrison, Cabinet maker, of "The Wood Workshop" in Redhills Business Park, Penrith, Cumbria designs and makes high quality hardwood furniture.
As a small Cabinet making business established 1997, we set out to provide for our customers items of furniture that are traditionally made by using exciting and interesting woods. To achieve something special for them, we book-match boards, inlay contrasting woods or Mother of Pearl, use cross banding techniques and put secret compartments or drawers into our work. We always aim to give our work that little bit extra.
Cabinet Making Commissions
We specialise in cabinet making commissions for new and existing customers. We work in hardwoods such as Oak, Elm, and Cherry, much of which has grown in Cumbria and the South West of Scotland, to create our interesting and unusual items of furniture. What makes us different? We take pride in the finished article and care about our customers being satisfied with the end result. There has been a recent upsurge in interest in the console tables that we make, they used to be called sofa tables or side tables but whatever name you use we make some very nice ones, have a look at our Gallery for some of the latest examples.
